Stunning user interface makes planning trips a breeze. Avoids the overwhelming cruft experience in using travel websites. I have not booked a place through it yet, and have only conducted searches and comparisons, but cant wait to book a stay using this app. It would be great to see B&B destinations added in the future.
While the interface is quite nice, the results of repeated test searches reveal a plethora of mediocre hotels disquised as 5 star hotels. An example: a low season search of hotels with a minimum 5 star rating in London for 3 nights revealed exactly 3 hotels, none of which is a real 5 star hotel by even the most generous exaggeration. No results for Four Seasons, Dorcester, Hyatt or any other recognized luxury chain. Instead a Base2Stay result that resembled smallish 2 star hotel, another hotel, the Kensington which from my admittedly superficial examination resembled at most a 3 star hotel and finally the Chancery Court which actually looked pretty good, but further research is probably required. My point is that none of the name brands luxury hotels were offered up in my search. I checked the preferences to select them, but to no avail. All in all, Im not sure of the utility of this app and the fact that it cost $9.99 is kind of galling.
Ive been using it to research hotels around the world (event planning) and it seemed to work well but just today it stopped working. When I open it I get a "data corrupted" error message and now Im unable to use it (I closed it out and restarted the app a few times but no luck). Id be more than happy to update my review once the issue is fixed. As I said, it was working well but now its not working.
